I may have to book a trip to the next one. We don't have to wait that long! It's July 2, 2019... in South America. Well looks like I now have a reason to make the trip! ;) \n\nhttps://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/list.html And the flood of Social Media posts continues. I expect my newsfeeds to be saturated with photos from this event for the next 24 hours. Still, I totally get it. Celebratory gunshots can be heard over the valley as the sun slowly "grows" to its normal size. And just like that we have totality. Check out that 360 "sunset" Ahhhh it's happening! Things I've learned: I don't have very steady arms. The view is a lil shaky when using binoculars! Going dark! \nThank you dark! #lametheatrejoke It's becoming noticeably darker. It feels like I'm living in an Instagram filter. Or the technical term: reduced visibility. Surprise! taking a photo with your phone and using the filter on the glasses does not really provide one with high quality eclipse photos. It's beginning to look like a fingernail moon The cicadas seem to know that something is happening their loud songs are coming in waves. We are about of a 3rd of the way to totality.
