France’s Emmanuel Macron has failed to turn up to Renew’s pre-summit meeting - and officials from the centrist group don’t know where he is.
“I think it’s a ‘no’,” one official said when asked whether the French president would come.
Although Macron’s failure to communicate his whereabouts is unusual, his no-show is not – officials estimate that the self-proclaimed “Jupiterian” leader only deigns to grace his fellow group leaders with his presence 80% of the time prior to Council summits.
