Sánchez infuriates Kallas with 'envoy' proposal
Spain's Pedro Sánchez angered Kaja Kallas during today's discussions when he reiterated a Finnish proposal to appoint a special envoy to negotiate a Ukraine peace deal, according to one EU diplomat.
The diplomat said Kallas responded to the socialist leader's proposal by claiming that she, as the EU's top diplomat, is the appropriate person to conduct talks with Russian and Ukrainian officials about ending the war.
