EU too weak to negotiate with Trump, Hungary’s Orbán says
Arriving with a spring in his step, the populist Hungarian leader caters first to domestic (state) media before launching into his greatest hits.
Asked whether he expects a trade deal with Trump soon, Orbán bashed the EU’s negotiating capacity.
“The problem is that on [the side] of the US, we have a heavy[weight] dealmaker and on our side, the EU is very light,” he quipped.
On Ukraine’s EU future, more of the same: “The problem is the war, if we were to integrate Ukraine into the EU, we would integrate the war, we wouldn't want to be in the same community as a country at war.”
