Tüttő blasted the Commission's €2 trillion, long-term budget proposal for sideling regions in favour of a centralised, national partnerships, and von der Leyen’s silence on cohesion in her speech only rubbed salt in the wound.
After von der Leyen said regions are "at the heart of the Union" in May, her budget proposal "rips the heart out, slices it into 27 pieces, and hands it in a bag to the capitals," wrote Tüttő.
