James Golding crossed the line first after making a fantastic move on the final lap, but the 5 second time penalty he copped for nudging Cooper Murray out of the lead a few laps earlier meant Payne held on for the win. He was in the hot seat for more than 3 hours to finish the race. Incredible wet weather racing.
